Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more, to taste)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook udon noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  5. Add the cooked udon noodles to the skillet.
  6. Pour the sauce over the noodles.
  7. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated.
  8. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro, if desired.
