Description
Make the sweet, creamy, and crunchy grape salad famous at Chicken Salad Chick. This recipe uses a cream cheese base and a brown sugar pecan topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lbs red and green seedless grapes
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Instructions
- Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all grapes are evenly coated.
- Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the salad.
- Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use a mix of red and green grapes for color contrast.
- You can prepare the salad base one day ahead, but add the pecan topping just before serving for maximum crunch.
- If you prefer a lighter dressing, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
