- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the meat mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

- For an extra cheesy casserole, you can add another cup of cheese.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like peas or corn to the meat mixture.
- If you don’t have cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup, you can substitute with cream of celery soup.
