- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs, water, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute butter for the vegetable oil for a richer flavor.
- Feel free to use different types of chocolate chips or add other mix-ins like nuts or dried fruit.
