- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and half of the caramel sauce. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the crisp before serving.
