Description
Make this crowd-pleasing hot dip for your next party. This baked buffalo chicken dip uses Frank’s-style hot sauce for that perfect spicy flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (like Frank’s RedHot Dip)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in the shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing until everything is well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the dip. If using, scatter the blue cheese crumbles over the cheddar.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for your tailgate recipes.
Notes
- You can assemble this spicy party dip ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Add about 5 extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
- For a slow cooker buffalo chicken dip variation, combine all ingredients (except blue cheese crumbles) in a small slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours or on high for 1 hour, stirring halfway through. Top with cheese and cook until melted.
- This recipe is great for Halloween party dip gatherings or any game day appetizers event.
