Description

Make this crowd-pleasing hot dip for your next party. This baked buffalo chicken dip uses Frank’s-style hot sauce for that perfect spicy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (like Frank’s RedHot Dip)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing until everything is well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the dip. If using, scatter the blue cheese crumbles over the cheddar.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers for your tailgate recipes.

Notes

  • You can assemble this spicy party dip ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Add about 5 extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
  • For a slow cooker buffalo chicken dip variation, combine all ingredients (except blue cheese crumbles) in a small slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours or on high for 1 hour, stirring halfway through. Top with cheese and cook until melted.
  • This recipe is great for Halloween party dip gatherings or any game day appetizers event.
