Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: Blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing for serving
- Optional: Celery sticks for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the almond milk and mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss gently until evenly coated.
- Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and lightly golden.
- While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the buffalo hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combined.
- Once the cauliflower is baked, carefully transfer the florets to a clean bowl.
- Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss gently to coat each piece.
- Return the sauced cauliflower to the baking sheet.
- Bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly thickened and bubbly.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the batter.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, use less hot sauce or a milder variety.
- Ensure cauliflower florets are well-coated in the batter for the best texture.
