Description

Enjoy these delicious and healthy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, a perfect vegetarian alternative to traditional buffalo wings. They’re crispy, flavorful, and satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other milk)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (use your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional, for extra richness)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving
  • Celery sticks, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the almond milk until slightly frothy.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the almond milk, letting any excess drip off.
  5. Toss the milk-coated florets into the dry ingredient mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Place the coated florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the sauce. In a medium bowl, combine the buffalo wing sauce and melted butter (if using). Stir well.
  9. Once the cauliflower is baked and crispy, add it to the bowl with the buffalo sauce. Gently toss to coat all the florets evenly.
  10. Return the sauced cauliflower bites to the baking sheet and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly caramelized.
  11. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Notes

  • For extra crispy bites, you can air fry them at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through.
  • Adjust the spice level of your buffalo sauce to your preference.
  • Feel free to experiment with different dipping sauces.
