Description
Delicious pizza topped with fresh bruschetta and creamy burrata cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces fresh burrata cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and pizza stone or baking sheet according to pizza dough instructions.
- In a medium bowl, combine the tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper. Let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Stretch or roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
- Carefully transfer the dough to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the tomatoes are slightly softened.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and tear the burrata cheese over the hot pizza.
- Allow the burrata to melt slightly from the pizza’s heat.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can toast the garlic lightly in the olive oil before adding it to the tomatoes.
- Adjust the amount of balsamic glaze to your preference.
- Fresh mozzarella can be substituted for burrata cheese, but burrata provides a creamier texture.
