Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the drained pork and beans, onion, green bell pepper, brown sugar, ketchup, molasses, bourbon, and mustard.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top.
  5. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
  6. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
