Description

Enjoy this unique and refreshing Blueberry Lavender Iced Tea, a perfect blend of sweet blueberries and floral lavender. It’s a delightful drink for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender buds
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blueberries and lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried lavender buds to the boiling water.
  3. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Strain the lavender-infused water into a pitcher, discarding the lavender buds.
  5. Add the blueberries to the warm liquid and gently mash them to release their juice. Let them steep for another 5 minutes.
  6. Strain the liquid again to remove the mashed blueberries, pressing gently to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the blueberry pulp.
  7. Stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved. Start with 1/4 cup and add more if you prefer a sweeter tea.
  8. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir well.
  9. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly cold.
  10. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh blueberries and lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender buds for a few minutes longer.
  • Adjust the sugar and lemon juice to your personal preference.
  • You can use a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to strain the tea for a clearer result.
  • This iced tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
