Description

Create fun Bat Wing Chicken Nuggets for a spooky Halloween treat. This recipe is perfect for a quick and exciting party dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds (for wings)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Your favorite dipping sauce

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another shallow dish, whisk together milk and egg.
  3. In a third shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, coating it evenly.
  5. Next, dip the floured chicken into the milk mixture, letting any excess drip off.
  6. Finally, coat the chicken with the panko and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to help it adhere.
  7. For the wings, place a few black sesame seeds on one side of each nugget, pressing them in slightly.
  8. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Carefully add chicken nuggets to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  10. Fry for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. Remove nuggets with a slotted spoon and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain.
  12. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For crispier nuggets, double-coat them by dipping them in the milk mixture and then the panko mixture again.
  • Adjust the heat of your oil as needed to maintain a consistent temperature.
  • Get creative with your dipping sauces – ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard are great choices!
