Description

A simple recipe for making flavorful, crispy cauliflower bites using an oven. These work well as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (optional, for cheesy flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast, if using.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the oiled cauliflower. Toss again until all florets are well seasoned.
  5. Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary for best crisping.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping the florets halfway through the cooking time.
  7. Continue baking until the edges are browned and the cauliflower is tender inside.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toss the coated florets in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch before baking.
  • You can prepare the seasoning mix ahead of time and store it in an airtight container.
  • If you prefer a spicier flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
