- 2 oz vodka
- 4 oz apple cider (not hard cider)
- 4 oz ginger beer
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Garnish: thin apple slice and cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Fill a copper mug or highball glass with ice cubes.
- Add the vodka, apple cider, and fresh lime juice to the glass.
- Top the mixture with ginger beer.
- Gently stir the drink once or twice to combine the ingredients without losing carbonation.
- Garnish the rim with a thin apple slice and a cinnamon stick.
Notes
- For a pitcher serving 8 people, combine 16 oz vodka, 32 oz apple cider, 32 oz ginger beer, and 4 oz lime juice in a large container. Stir well and chill. Add ice and top with ginger beer just before serving.
- Substitute vodka with bourbon for an Apple Cider Kentucky Mule variation.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka and increase the apple cider slightly.
- If you prefer a spicier drink, use a spicier ginger beer.
