Description
Make juicy, flavorful shrimp quickly in your air fryer with this simple garlic butter recipe. It requires no breading and cooks in under 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no need to thaw)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1/2 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- If using frozen shrimp, place them in a bowl and toss with the olive oil until lightly coated. If using fresh, place them directly in a medium bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the air fryer, toss with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- For extra crispy edges, cook the shrimp without overcrowding the basket.
- This shrimp works well mixed into salads, served over zucchini noodles, or used as a filling for tacos.
- If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
