Description

Cook salmon fillets in the air fryer for a crispy exterior and a juicy, flaky interior. This recipe uses simple lemon garlic butter seasoning for a fast, healthy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter (optional, for brushing after cooking)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispy exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Brush the lemon garlic mixture evenly over the top surface of each salmon fillet.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the salmon in the preheated air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. If using, brush lightly with melted butter immediately after removing from the air fryer.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down and cook for the full time.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain airflow.
  • Adjust cooking time down by 1-2 minutes if you prefer your salmon slightly less done.
