Description
Cook salmon fillets in the air fryer for a crispy exterior and a juicy, flaky interior. This recipe uses simple lemon garlic butter seasoning for a fast, healthy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon melted butter (optional, for brushing after cooking)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispy exterior.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Brush the lemon garlic mixture evenly over the top surface of each salmon fillet.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
- Place the salmon in the preheated air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- If using, brush lightly with melted butter immediately after removing from the air fryer.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down and cook for the full time.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain airflow.
- Adjust cooking time down by 1-2 minutes if you prefer your salmon slightly less done.
