Description

Cook boneless or bone-in pork chops in your air fryer for tender, juicy meat with a satisfyingly crisp exterior. This recipe is fast and simple for any weeknight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 thick-cut pork chops (about 1 inch thick, bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crust)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crisp exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, paprika, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper to create the spice rub.
  3. Rub the olive oil evenly over all surfaces of the pork chops.
  4. Sprinkle the spice rub mixture over the chops, pressing gently so the seasoning adheres. If using Parmesan, press it onto the exterior surfaces now.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the pork chops carefully. Continue to air fry for another 4 to 7 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  9. Remove the chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For thinner chops (under 3/4 inch), reduce the total cook time by 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Use a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part to check for doneness (145 degrees Fahrenheit is safe and juicy).
  • If you prefer a slightly thicker crust, you can lightly dust the oiled chops with a thin layer of flour before applying the spice rub.
