Description

Prepare tender carrots coated in a simple, sweet maple glaze using your air fryer. This side dish cooks quickly and works well for weeknight dinners or holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced carrots in a bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the carrots are evenly coated.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
  3. Place the seasoned carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible; work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Air fry the carrots for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup.
  6. After 10 minutes, remove the basket and drizzle the maple syrup over the carrots. Gently toss the carrots in the basket to coat them with the syrup.
  7. Return the basket to the air fryer. Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, watching closely, until the carrots are tender and the glaze is slightly sticky.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket; this allows the hot air to circulate and cook the carrots evenly.
  • If your maple syrup is very thick, warm it slightly before drizzling to help it coat the carrots better.
  • If you prefer softer carrots, increase the initial cooking time by 2-3 minutes before adding the glaze.
