- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for air fryer basket)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, red onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped but not a paste.
- Add the flour and pulse a few more times until just combined.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil.
- Shape the falafel mixture into small balls or patties.
- Place the falafel in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dips and accompaniments.
Notes
- For best results, ensure your chickpeas are well-drained and rinsed.
- If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely chop the ingredients by hand and mix them in a bowl.
