Description

Mushroom and Dill Breakfast Tarts are a delightful way to start your day with a flaky puff pastry base and a creamy filling, combining earthy mushrooms and fresh dill.


Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry: 1 sheet
  • Mushrooms: 1 cup, sliced
  • Cream Cheese: 4 oz, softened
  • Sour Cream: 1/2 cup
  • Fresh Dill: 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Egg: 1, beaten
  • Salt: to taste
  • Pepper: to taste
  • Shredded Cheese: 1/2 cup (mozzarella or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
  3. Sauté the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic in a skillet until tender.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, dill, and beaten egg until smooth, then fold in sautéed mushrooms.
  5. Spoon the filling into the pastry shells and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and set.
